Biography

Born in 1968 in Brescia, Bombardieri was the son of a sculptor. From a young age, Bombardieri combined his artistic studies with attending his father's studio (Remo Bombardieri) where he refined his technical knowledge.

Alongside the creation of figurative sculptures, mainly of large dimensions, he creates works related to poor art, conceptual art and video installations.

His artistic research develops on the reflection, not without philosophical suggestions, of some themes, such as time and its perception, the experience of pain in Western culture, man, and the meaning of existence. His work starts from tangible reality to reach inner worlds, fantastic universes.

Since the 1990s he has exhibited in public spaces and galleries, preferring the dialogue between work and urban space.

Among his installations are those located in the center of Ferrara, in Faenza, in Bologna, in Saint Tropez and in Posdam.

In the evocative setting of Pietrasanta in 2009 he presented his personal The animals count down. He also participates in the 52nd and 54th Venice Biennale.

He works between Italy, France and Germany.
